Spanish Schools in Mexico

Escuela Mexicana is the creation of Hayde Lopez Rodriguez. In the early 1990s, Hayde began organizing intensive, personalized classes at her guesthouse, Casa Mexicana, at tenants’ request. Demand grew over the years, and in 2000, she founded Escuela Mexicana, a total-immersion language school.

Hayde’s mission is to immerse students in an intensive, effective Spanish-language learning experience in a comfortable, friendly environment and introduce them to the rich culture and history of Guanajuato and Mexico.

In June 2004, Escuela Mexicana moved to a new location. Casa Mexicana, which held the Hotel and the school in the same building, became too small for the increasing number of students. Escuela Mexicana offers its classes now in a beautiful, colonial building, only3 minutes away from Jardin de la Union in downtown Guanajuato.

We really enjoy teaching Spanish to foreigners, something we have been doing for over 14 years, therefore, we want to share the experiences lived throughout these years and enrich them with the job of Escuela Mexicana teaching staff that have been aware of all the strengths and weaknesses of the foreign students when they arrive to our country.
